Isaiah 55:10-11

Read Isaiah 55:10-11
What does this passage reveal about God's desire to communicate with us? How has God communicated with you? Through others? Through nature? Through Scripture?

  1. This passage is revealing that when God gives us His word, he'd like something in return. If God helps me with something or performs a miracle, I should pay Him back with my love and passion for Him. God has communicated to me through Saint Benedict's. When I came here for an Open House, I felt a bit skeptical about coming here. But then I thought about it, and it almost feels as if God is communicating to me and wants me to go here. I feel spiritually connected to SBP, and I'm glad I go here and fulfilled God's communication with me

  2. What this says is that God gives us his word/s and he expects for us to do something with that word. For example we can take it as encouragement to accomplish certain things in life. God has communicated with us in this situation by giving us the power to wake up and do the same things that we can do everyday. He has communicated with me by letting me be here everyday and giving me these days to strive for better and better. Through nature God literally wakes us up everyday, if you’ve done a crime or not, God is giving that person another chance to change their lives. Through scripture he is telling us to believe and him, follow his ways and he will take care of us.

  3. What this was saying was when god gives us his word don't take it for granted and just don't waste it because it's very important. Ways god has communicated with me is by just answering my prayers when ever I'm in a bad situation or I'm having a problom and helps out and it's just always something new when it comes to god trying to get to you in any way possible just to let you know that he is always around

    1. In this passage it says that god wants to speck with us but we most likely won't let him because we are thinking more about something else like sports, school and we don't think about god so he can talk with us. Because I would talk to god when I have the time but you have all the time in the world so we basically can talk to him everyday, anytime. And he talk though other by the church because the church mission is to spread the word. And through nature he talk through anything because god is everywhere. And through scripture he talks to us through words because the scripture tells us how we had become.

  6. This reading says that God will us a word to us for encouragement, wisdom, help, etc, and he expects us to do something with it. He doesn’t want us to waste it and take it for granted. He wants us to succeed in the thing for which God sent the word for. This tells me and others to never waste the thing God is telling me to do because he only wants us happy and having a relationship with him .

  7. The passage tells me that when we give something to friends or family we would expect something back or we should not take something and we can not give back. This communicate to nature or community by follow exactly what God said to us.

  8. What this passage tells me that whenever God sends me or someone I know to do something, we cannot but feel like stressed since we haven't finished our work here on earth. Because of this, I would always feel called to finish all my work and try to not leave anything unfinished. It's just like when God created the earth in seven days which is why "his words make things that I want to happen".

  9. This passage is informing me that when God gives us his message, the Lord would look for something to receive. If I were to attain some divine power or ability from God, I feel as if by the Lord giving me this power I must use it how he would want me to use it.

  10. This reading says Gods word is absolute and when he gives his word we should also go out and spread Gods as he dose. when God says this "it shall not return to me empty," when we return to god in heaven. "but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it", this is a powerful verse with a lot of meaning God has a plan for us all so when we give his word should follow it but also at share it with as people as possible so we don't return empty in the kingdom of God.

  11. What I believe this passage is saying is that we should not take God’s word for granted. He doesn’t want us to let go of his word. All he isn’t asking us is for us to listen or read his word. He doesn’t want us to Ben selfish and not do one favor just for him. God is god everyone loves him. Why wouldn’t you do that for him?

  14. This reading is telling us that our words should have a powerful meaning to them and shouldn't be wasted. It should also spread growth and influence others. The passage gives an example of how rain and snow give life to earth and that's how our words should be.

  15. Deuteronomy 31:9-13
This is my favorite one because it says that Moses tells the people to continue into the future with gods word. And this says to me to look into the future and set your goals before reaching the future. And to listen someone is guiding you to it.
